Round robins done right
Everyone plays everyone once, twice or more. Odd numbers of teams get fair byes.
Fields and kickoff times
List your fields and start times. Fairround fills the slots and rotates teams through them.
Home and away that balance
Each team hosts about half its games, with no long runs of home or away.
Blackout dates
A team away for a weekend just sits that week out. Fairround adds a slack week so the season still fits.
Every team gets its calendar
One link for the whole league, and a calendar file per team that drops straight into phones.
Explains itself
If ten teams cannot fit in eight weeks, you are told that, with the numbers, before anything runs.
Questions
- How big a league can it schedule?
- Any size your plan allows. A 16 team single round robin takes a couple of seconds.
- Can teams play at their home field?
- Yes. Add a rule that places a team at a field and Fairround keeps it there whenever it can.
- What about double round robins?
- Set how many times each pair plays. Home and away swap between the meetings.
- Can I adjust a game by hand?
- Drag a team onto another to swap them, then rescore to see whether anything broke.
